Its a beautiful here in Kaikoura today. Blue sky and a chill chill in the air from the snow fall over the last few days on the Kaikoura Seaward Mountain range. Its winter paradise.
The Seal Colony has amazing views of where the Mountains met the Sea. Sit and relax on the bench seat, watch the Seals and soak in the view.
On my walk to the Seal Colony yesterday look who I found sitting on the side of the road. This cheeky wee fellow was sitting on the road verge, just sitting watching the world go by. Kaikoura is well known for its “Crayfish – Koura”. While you are here in Kaikoura why not enjoy one of our local delicacies ” crayfish” in one of the local restaurant’s, the Seafood BBQ or bring one back to The Point; relax and enjoy on the veranda.
We had a wonderful dinner the other night at the Pier Hotel and were lucky enough to catch the sun going down. Wonderful food , company and views.
